Florian Lukas was born in 1993 in Vienna. He received his BSc. in Technical Chemistry from TU Vienna in 2020 after working on the development of toluene-derivatives as benzylating agents during his bachelor thesis. During his MSc. studies Florian worked on the investigation of Claisen-type rearrangements as a tool for building scaffolds in total synthesis before exploring C(sp3)-C(sp3) bond-formation via hydrazones and photo-HAT in the NRG. After graduating with distinction, he again joined Prof. Noëls group as a PhD candidate working on the photoinduced C-H activation of aliphatic scaffolds.
