Andrea L. Aloia is a Ph.D. student hailing from the University of Bari, Italy. He pursued his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry and Chemical and Molecular Science, respectively, at Bari. In 2021, he commenced his Ph.D. program in Chemical and Molecular Sciences at the University of Bari, under the guidance of Prof. Angelo Nacci and Dott. Antonio Monopoli. His research is centered on cross-coupling and C-H activation reactions employing ionic liquids as solvents. Simultaneously, he delves into the study of various catalysts in the synthesis of biofuels. Andrea is now embarking on a research stint with the NRG, where he will focus on the Radical Transfer Strategy for C(sp2)−C(sp3) coupling reactions.
