Diego Pintossi was born in Bergamo (Italy). In 2010, he started his Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy), which he completed with honors in 2013. He obtained his double Master of Science title with laude, also in Materials Engineering, from Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino. In parallel to the master degree studies, Diego attended Alta Scuola Politecnica, an institution focusing on multidisciplinarity and innovation. He worked for one year as a research assistant in the laboratory of Stefano Turri, Marinella Levi and Gianmarco Griffini at Politecnico di Milano. In 2017, he moved to the Netherlands and started his Ph.D. in the Blue Energy research theme at Wetsus, in Leeuwarden, with affiliation to the group of Professor Kitty Nijmeijer at Eindhoven University of Technology. In 2021, Diego joined the NRG group as a postdoctoral researcher working on automation and machine learning for flow chemistry.
