Francesca Rizzo grew up in Pavia, Italy. In 2022, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree (cum laude) in Chemistry at the University of Pavia. Her Bachelor’s thesis dealt with the synthesis of organic molecules responsible for umami taste. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Pavia. In September 2023, she joined the PhotoGreen Lab group under the supervision of Prof. Stefano Protti, to conduct the first part of her Master thesis. Thanks to the Erasmus Traineeship program, Francesca is now spending six months as a visiting student in NRG, in order to carry out the second part of her Master thesis.
