Gana Sanil graduated with a Masters in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Trivandrum, India in 2019. During her undergraduate studies, she did short-term project on the synthesis of extended pentalene systems at Central University of Tamilnadu. Her Master’s thesis was based on the synthesis of expanded Porphyrinoids, which was carried out in the group of Prof. Gokulnath Sabapathy. Currently she is pursuing PhD in Chemical Sciences at the Institute of Organic chemistry, Polish Academy of sciences, Warsaw. Her PhD work is based on the synthesis and optical studies of planar and curved π-expanded analogues of pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyrroles under the guidance of Prof. Daniel. T Gryko. Currently, Gana is a guest PhD student in the NRG group working with C-H activation methods promoted by photochemistry.
