Michael Vanzella was born in 1999 in Conegliano, Italy. He received both his BSc and MSc in Chemistry cum laude at the University of Padova. During his first year of master, he spent one semester at Leiden University (Erasmus+ program), while in the second year he joined the Dell’Amico Research Group in Padova to carry out his master thesis research. Specifically, he focused on the development of aminocatalysed photochemical and electrochemical reactions. From January 2024 onwards, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the UvA in the Noël Research Group, working on Robochem, an automated platform for the self-optimisation and intensification of photochemical reactions.
