Andrea Barcia was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, in 1990. In 2015, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineer at Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral (ESPOL). During her bachelor, she worked on the construction of a distillation column packed bed under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Olga Gonzales. Currently, she is pursuing a MSc. in Chemical Process and Technology and doing her graduation project on a biocatalytic reaction in a microreactor in the Nöel research group.
