Dmitrii Nagornîi received his B.Sc degree in Chemistry and his M.Sc. in Molecular Sciences (cum laude) at the Radboud University in Nijmegen (2020 & 2022). For his Master thesis he investigated the electrochemical synthesis of cyclopropanes and cyclobutanes, under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Blanco-Ania and Prof. Floris Rutjes. During his internship abroad, he worked on the electrochemical decarboxylative fluorination of tertiary carboxylic acids in the group of Dr. Kevin Lam at the University of Greenwich. At the moment, he is a PhD candidate at the UvA under the supervision of Prof. Timothy Noël, where he is working on the photocatalytic C(sp3)–H activation using gaseous reagents.
