Luigi Dolcini is a PhD student coming from the University of Milan, Italy. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Chemical Sciences in 2021 at the same University, with a thesis about enantioselective reductions catalysed by cyclopentadienone Fe complexes. He then started is PhD under the supervision of prof. Luca Pignataro, aiming at the development of novel photocatalytic methodologies involving the use of organic dyes. His research is centred on organocatalyzed reactions and base metals-mediated cross-couplings. Luigi is now spending an internship in the Noël Research group, looking forward to developing novel methods for the alkylation of pyridines in flow.
