Marco Nicaso received his bachelor degree in Chemistry at the University of Calabria (Arcavacata di Rende, Italy). After his graduation, he joined the Ottosson group at the University of Uppsala (Uppsala, Sweden) to work on “Synthesis of new compounds with high complexity using the Excited State (Anti)Aromaticity” for a few months. In 2019, he obtained his Master degree in Photochemistry and Molecular Materials at the University of Bologna (Bologna, Italy) with a thesis project on “Spectroscopic investigation of inorganic colloidal nanoparticles”. He is currently an exchange student at the Eindhoven University of Technology (Eindhoven, Netherlands). At Eindhoven University of Technology he works on the “Synthesis of carboxylic acids through CO2 and C-H bond activation” under the supervision of associate professor Timothy Noël.
